Each Lot contains 2g of dried pepper flakes of our Naga-Habanero Hybrid peppers. These so-called “naganero” peppers contain a variable genetics mixture drawn from the (former) world’s hottest pepper (Dorset Naga) and several different habaneros. Of course, you can imagine that you will experience sweat-inducing heat with a bit of extra fruitiness of the habanero.
Just some info on the Dorset Naga itself:
The Dorset Naga is a cultivar of the Naga Jolokia or Bhut Jolokia, which has been recognized by the Guiness Book of World Records as being the hottest pepper on the planet. With a Scoville heat unit measurement of around 1 million, it replaced the Red Savina with nearly double its heat intensity. This rating can be more or less depending on climate. Drier climates with less rainfall will produce hotter peppers. The Dorset Naga came about through genetic selection in Dorest, England. Specimens have been tested at 1.6 million Scoville heat units.
Warning: These peppers are only for experienced pepper lovers with a heat tolerance. Wear gloves when handling. They can burn through the skin on your hands, and the oil will most certainly end up in your eyes, mouth or other areas.
